Senhora Mãe

In the old Lisbon area, this posh-looking rustic restaurant presents itself as "maybe its too expensive to go in". But once you look at the menu you are caught. The price is average and the quality is high. The variety is not much but curiosity makes it hard to choose just one dish.
After some struggle we decided for "Peito de pato com lemongrass" (Duck’s breast w/ lemon grass) and "Lombos de porco preto com azeite, alho e coentros" (Black pork tenderloins w/ olive oil, garlic and coriander).
This is one of those places where your eyes will also eat, and after you kick the "this is so good looking it's almost a pity to eat it" thought away, your taste buds will finnaly stop drooling.
The food is very good - good ingredients made with professionalism.
As for the athmosphere, decoration is well integrated in the old building, maintaing the ancient facade. There is also a terrace that could be nicer during the Summer if it weren't for the nearby road.
Definitely a place to return.
